Kirstin Batchelor
RYT200 (2019), Ordained Minister (2005), and a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) (2011)
Kirstin took her first yoga class in 1995 and found it judgmental and rigid, generally a horrible experience. She came back to yoga in 2007 when a friend invited her. This time it clicked. She kept her yoga practice across several moves with her Active Duty Army husband, Eric. It became an important part of her self-care as she worked as a healthcare chaplain in hospital and hospice settings. After she and Eric moved to Waynesville in 2018, Kirstin enrolled in 200-hour teacher training, graduating in 2019. She found more joy than she ever expected in leading yoga classes.
She loves facilitating students' turn inward in yoga practice. Kirstin is also a writer of fiction, a potter, and enjoys hiking with Eric and their dogs, Artie and Sam. Their cat Max allows her to serve him.
"Yoga is for everyone, and I strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all to explore their practice, integrating elements of meditation, pranayama and mindfulness to cultivate a connection with body and mind, along with a little fun."
