Jogi Bear
Jogi Bear is no ordinary mascot.
Born of strong Appalachian roots, Jogi is said to be a distant descendant of Smokey Bear and Mildred the beloved black bear of Grandfather Mountain. From Smokey, he inherited a deep respect for the forest. From Mildred, a quiet dignity and a love of North Carolina’s high-country air.
But Jogi’s path wasn’t always peaceful.
In his early years, he traveled the country as a circus performer — balancing on oversized balls, riding tiny bicycles (regrettably), and mastering impressive feats of flexibility long before he ever stepped onto a yoga mat. Though the applause was loud, his heart was searching for something deeper.
After retiring from circus life, Jogi devoted himself to animal rights, social justice, and protecting the wild spaces he calls home. His experiences gave him compassion for all beings and a strong belief in freedom — for animals, for humans, and for the mind.
Musically, Jogi contains multitudes. His playlists move seamlessly from the rebellious pulse of Ramones to the electric soul of Jimi Hendrix. He believes a good power chord and a steady breath can both liberate the spirit.
Now settled at the studio, Jogi serves as a gentle reminder that:
Strength can be soft. Wildness can be wise. And sometimes the most radical act is simply to pause.
When he’s not leading silent meditations from the corner of the room, you’ll find him advocating for justice, hugging trees (with consent), and reminding everyone to breathe deeply — and protect the forest.
Only you can prevent burnout.
